Question About Hooking Up Soundbar.

I havea Visio tv and an RCA sound bar. I was wondering if I hook up the soundbar to my tv via optical cable will the audio come through the soundbar if I'm playing a movie in my PS4?

You have the PS4 connected directly to the TV? If yes, then the answer to your question is yes. You'll probably have to change some TV setting to get the TV to redirect the audio out through the optical cable though.

Also keep in mind that the best audio you get through an optical cable is DVD quality, no matter the source. So, no HD surround sound will play out of your soundbar.

My recommendation is always to get rid of the soundbar and get proper speakers with a receiver though.
