Question Opinions on 3D performance of LG 75UH8500

For those who have the UH8500 and watch 3D regularly, what are your impressions of the 3D quality? The TV will be wall-mounted in my living room, and the center of the TV will be close to eye level when seated (maybe 8" higher, but tilted down), and viewing distance is 9 feet.

Since LG dropped 3D for 2017, I went ahead and orderd a LG 75UH8500, primarily for its passive 3D.

Obviously, 4K and HDR are also important as well, but I don't have a UHD blu-ray player yet, so the immediate benefit for me will be upscaling blu-ray content, 4K Netflix, and full 1080p for each eye in 3D. I currently have a 70" Sony R550a.

I absolutely love the passive 3D on my 65 inch UH8500. It blows the 1080p active shutter 3D TV I previously had out of the water. You're in for a treat. I still can't fathom why LG dropped the feature from its new line of TVs.

Thanks for the feedback - I'm looking forward to testing it out once I get mine in the next couple of days

I have the 55" version and have only watched The Force Awakens 3D so far but it was awesome. You are going to enjoy it!

Not what you want to hear, but I strongly prefer the 65 OLED you could get in that same price range for 3D.

The size of the 75UH8500 is impressive, but it doesn't hold a candle to the picture quality and 3D of any of the OLEDs. Hope you enjoy it though since you asked after you purchased it.

I just got this same TV and the 3D is very good, though not 100% perfect. There is a bit of crosstalk at the very top and bottom, though that could be due to me sitting too close to it as my living room is a bit small for its screen size. Still MUCH better separation and brighter picture than my Sharp. Black levels will need tweaking over time, the OLEDs were out of my price range and not even available in this size. Each TV I get has to be BIGGER than the last!
