Default And so what's so weird about my collection???

Over the past few yesrs from time to time I would check out the Collection Matcher feature on this website. What I've never been able to figure out is why does the highest percentage of similar titles to my own collection BEGIN at 35 percent. I've browsed around and everyone here cross-pollinates at about 45-55 percent to begin with and, by the end of the list, declines down to the 35 percent at which I top out at.

At over 600 titles, I don't mathematically understand why my collection would be such an outlier in comparison to others. The chances in my collection showing up in in anyone elses Matcher list in next to nil. Not feeling creepy or "left out" about it. I just don't get it. Just figured I'd put my confusion to words here.

I don't consider my collection to be particularly niche-y or eclectic by any means so what am I not understanding here about how this works.

The matcher seems to have some bizarre aversion to multi-feature sets, where it will not count a title that one has in a set but someone else has separately (example: I matched mine with yours and noticed that you had Avatar and Titanic in a set while I have them separately, it did not count this as a match). And sometimes, a title may have the same movies and not count (I noticed this with the Jurassic Park Trilogy, we both have this set but from different countries, didn't count in the system).

Also, you seem to have a lot more imports than the typical American member as so many here are so insistent on having American copies of everything (or even worse, have a hatred of any non-English writing or rating symbols because they want everything uniform).

Everything Buscemi stated is true, but it would also help your cause if you were a horror/cult movie fan. Considering the large number of folks that are huge horror and Cult movie fans on this site it's no wonder your matching scores are lower.

Best I can get is 21.6%.

Of course, I also have quite a few collected titles, and am heavy on TV, which seems to be a rarity.
