Default Yooka-Laylee

Looks like Yooka-Laylee is the fastest kickstarter game to hit 1 million. I really hope we get a physical release of this and not just digital. Looks like a fun platformer.

Kickstarter earned $1.5 million in about 24 hours... Can't wait to see all that money transformed into old-school 3D platforming goodness.

Game has added three additional stretch goals since then. And even then, it's already cleared two of them. Heaven forbid what other goals it will get by the time it ends. A limited physical release for a variety of formats, hopefully.

With the amount of money they are getting for this we better get a physical release. I'm sure they can easily reach that goal.

If they get enough to do a physical release, I'd probably bump up my donation to that level or just buy in stores. I already donated for a digital console edition. Super excited for this to come out

Very much excited for this too! (Although I've never played Banjo Kazooie or Donkey Kong) I do love the new Rayman and was a huge fan of Crash Bandicoot so I should really enjoy this Of course I would love a physical edition but looks like that's only coming for those who donate a greater amount and only on PC! Dang. Maybe I will wait until closer to it's end date before I put down my $30 CAD on it...

I like the bat on his head. Nice they're keeping this cartoony genre going. Crash Bandicoot and Banjo Kazooie.
Reminds me of Spyro the Dragon games. Spyro 1 was my first entry into polygon 3D games, followed by Soul Reaver 1, Syphon Filter, MGS, Silent Hill, etc.

Looks pretty good but good God, what is this 1998? Put some voice acting in this game! I don't think I could tolerate listening to "mum mum blerb blerb bleep bleep" and reading subtitles for 8+ hours.

Voice acting would take a toll on their limited budget. Plus it's a Rare staple. I believe it's the latest Edge magazine that has an article on this game and they spoke about choosing to use the "Rare speak" for this game and getting it right.

Yeah I figured. Still, I'd rather there be no mumbling at all and there just be text. Was Banjo's mumbling that annoying? I'll have to go back and look at some videos. Maybe we can turn the mumbling off.

Sounds like a decent game dependent on what the gamer is looking for and expecting out of it in order to enjoy it. If it's from a small team, I don't expect a perfect game, just as long as it's mostly fun to play for the style it offers.
Haven't played Banjo Kazooie.

Really gutted by some of the reviews.

I can see this ending up being a PS+ freebie so I'm going to hold off buying it.

Got my Kickstarter copy on the way, and Playtonic announced a day one patch to improve performance/camera issues which a lot of reviews cited so hopefully that should make the experience even better. Looking forward to diving in next week when I get it!
