I love Hackman's Lex.... but I think Spacey imo was the perfect live action iteration of Luthor.

I usually like Gene Hackman but I thought his Lex was his worst performance. He was terrible in my opinion.

Spacey was great but I like Hoult the best.

Kevin Spacey. His star moment was when he got to stab Superman in the back with a knife made of kryptonite. Powerful and nasty. Lex Luthor was also a driving force in an otherwise quite forgettable movie, he was the only one with a plan, so he naturally stole the show.

Can't stand Jesse Eisenberg (in any role).

In terms of performance Id say Hackman. But he came before the more modern Lex (Spacey tried to bridge that gap), so hes doing more of his own thing and.he's better in the second movie IMO when he doesn't have to be "the villain ".


Id put Nicholas Hoult in second.

It’s a pity that Michael Rosenbaum is not in that poll. With hair, he has the bonus of looking like the much older versions of Ethan Cutkosky and Jeremy Allen White. And, Michael Rosenbaum sounds like Jeremy Allen White, too, another bonus.

By the way, Michael Rosenbaum is the second best Lex Luthor. Ethan Cutkosky and Jeremy Allen White would each be just as good as Michael Rosenbaum was.
