It could be well done if they all think zorro is a man and turns out its a woman. A woman disguised with a mustache. I think its brilliant. Better than any other gender swap character.

But if they go for "Zorra" im out!!!

How about offering something new and original rather than simply doing a gender swap and calling it a reboot / re-imagining of an existing concept? Doesn't anybody in Hollywood have any creativity or imagination left instead of finding new ways to rehash old ideas??

There was Xena and Hamlet has been a woman more than once.

There was a Japanese Miss Sherlock last year.

I'd be more interested if it was a western as Zorro is supposed to be but I have no issue with the character being a woman. I welcome it - the more woman on screen the better. I prefer looking them than at men

I don't know when nerds stopped wanting to see women.

Another reboot and gender-swapping Zorro.. *sigh*. I also agree with what is mentioned above about lack of creativity in Hollywood these days.

Well, some will assuredly enjoy it, feel it is a fresh take on the story. Myself I am instead eagerly awaiting 'The Mask of Zorro' on 4K BD hopefully some time soon.

Possibly when instead of bothering to create female heroes, like the likes of Buffy and Xena, they just started hijacking male ones instead, complete with blatant inyerface misandric agenda to boot.
