I finally got to see one of my all time favorite movies on the big screen at the Alamo for their 30th anniversary tour, and the Q&A with the cast said they were looking to put out a new blu ray for the anniversary, and they said they'd be doing a tour documentary too.

I asked about a possible 4K release (had to represent

) and they said Sony owns the rights (mmm Sony 4K UHD film transfers), but they'd like to get the documentary out through Sony too while they're at it. Might as well be a bonus feature no? Would be sooo great to see it happen, while it's happening.

Not all heroes wear capes. LoSouL is one of them. I saw the 30th Anniversary screening at my Alamo and I almost asked this same question.

I finally got the blu ray at a low price to replace my old DVD, and man, it is not a particularly great transfer or release.

Still hoping for a 4K UHD, but what happened to the new blu ray they told everyone about on the 30th anniversary tour last year? That would have been something at least.

The thought Sony releasing this in 4K makes me salivate. I highly doubt it will ever happen, but man, if it did...

Loved this movie as a kid and figured it would be fun to revisit it and maybe show it to my kid some day, but last time I watched it a lot of the dialogue left a really bad taste in my mouth. Sadly, I feel like this one is best left in the '80s.
