Default What would be your most sacrilegious movie occurrence?

Reading through the Jurassic World 2 thread and someone said "I hope they don't kill off Malcolm" and it got me thinking. JP is my all time favorite film and it would hit me pretty hard if they did turn Malcolm into dinosaur food so I was wondering what everyone else's big no no's would be. Can be anything from remake announcements, character deaths, crap directors taking on your favorite material, whatever. Just as long as the news would fill you with horror and dread.

E.T remake anyone?

I think I remember reading ages ago that Justin Timberlake or Ashton Kutcher auditioned for Bruce / Batman for Chris Nolan. That news made me break out into a cold sweat.

Another one is a Godfather remake. Just no.

Rumoured Alien 5 omitting the existence of Alien 3 and Resurrection would be pure sacrilege

I thought the same thing then I thought make Alien 5 be Alien 2.5. Easily doable, might mess up the years a bit but still very possible. More Hicks/Ripley killing xenomorphs is potentially great.

More Matrix movies without The Wachowskis. Oh Wait!

A new installment of a franchise I love directed by John Moore and written by Skip Woods. Oh Wait!

My blood would boil and my head would explode Scanners style at the announcement of Christopher Nolan directing a James Bond film.

This was actually one of the better remakes in recent years. Other than changing the setting from the English countryside to Mississippi and David becoming a screenwriter, it's a rather faithful remake.

Meanwhile, I'm going to separate mine into two sections: it happened and it hasn't happened (yet).

It Happened:
- Remaking The Women as a glorified episode of Sex and the City (Cukor's film is a classic, the remake...is far from it).
- Doing an Evil Dead film without Ash and letting Diablo Cody write it (I understand that people like this one but it's not The Evil Dead without Bruce Campbell).
- RoboCop and Total Recall remade without Paul Verhoeven's style and the satire.

It Hasn't Happened (Yet):
- Putting Freddy Krueger in space or on the Internet.
- The Godfather is remade as a studio-friendly teen film.
- Starship Troopers remade without Paul Verhoeven's style and the satire.
- An Americanized remake of Your Name.

Literally?
In college we watched Scorsese's "Last Temptation of Christ" back to back with "Crippled Masters", a weird old kung fu movie
