Default PS2 Upscaling on the 60 gig

Ok, i now own every PS2 game ive ever wanted to own to play on my 60 gig PS3. It is a mighty fine collection. Ive been loving the upscaler on the PS3 till i finally got Disney Golf for PS2. The graphics looked HORRIBLE. I thought maybe its a weird instance. I got even more PS2 games and they all look AMAZING! Then today, i got the final ps2 game i was looking for in the mail, Street Fighter EX3, and it looks absolutely HORRIBLE. Its like there is a large, thick layer of mesh in front of the overlay of graphics. I then realized that both Disney Golf and Street Fighter EX3 are CD based PS2 games. So i looked and indeed, i had a 3rd! Popped in Marvel Vs Capcom 2, and its absolutely stunning! Gorgeous and without an issue. So, i am at a loss. Why do these 2 games (Disney Golf + Street Fighter EX3) look horrible on the PS3 upscaled?

I am using HDMI, 720p. I tried with it on Normal, Full Screen, Smoothing On and Off. Looked horrible regardless of the setting. Is anyone getting this on their system?

Its not the animations, its like there is a thin film in front of the overlay of everything displayed on the screen. Like, as if, there is a honey comb inbetween the pixels and background. It only happens on those 2 games tho. I just tried every setting possible and every res possible, and its still happening. I wonder if maybe its a bug in the ps2 code?
