I live in the United States and import a lot of blu rays from Amazon UK and Amazon Germany. I've run into issues a few times with shipping, because certain 3rd party sellers don't offer International shipping. But I've had no issues when an item is Shipped & Sold by Amazon themselves. Except now.

This blu ray is shipped & sold from Amazon...but is telling me it's does not ship to the United States. I've never had this happen in the 5+ years I've been buying from the site.

I tried doing a live chat with customer service, but they were pretty clueless and gave a very generic response that doesn't clear anything up. Does anyone on here have any idea why this would happen?

Darn movie wasn't even released in the US.

This happens sometimes when stock of an item gets low, they'll block sales to only Prime members in the UK. It happened with a DVD I wanted last year around the holidays from Amazon.co.uk as well. There was no notice on the page they had blocked sales, it only happened at checkout.

In the case of the DVD I wanted, they eventually got more stock, and removed the block. Someone on another thread explained what was happening to me. Hope this gets unblocked soon for you as well. If there's a time crunch, you can always try hmv.co.uk or even ebay.co.uk, I see a few copies there.

There's actually a 3rd party seller that will ship to the US. It'll just cost an extra $8 or so to go that route.

The DVD I wanted was blocked for like 2 weeks, as I remember. I couldn't find it anywhere else that whole time, so I ended up waiting. I only learned it was unblocked by attempting to buy it every few days, there was never a notice on the item page itself.

It happens in reverse too, I have been trying to order the Mickey Mouse collection from amazon.com for the last few weeks but because of low stock it is reserved for US Amazon Prime members only
