I want to rebuy those consoles and build up the collection I used to have. Just wondering how they would look on my 60" or would it be better to buy a smaller tv for those?

I was going to post the same thing but decided not to because these threads always turn into "that's too expensive, it'll look fine without it."
In addition to what Nega already said, if you don't want to mod or use an upscaler your best best is to find a smaller tube tv. |

If you can find a NES classic you can add games to the system and has HDMI built in. Quality Nintendo hardware and controllers. Probably the best bang for the buck cost-wise.
The SNES classic will be released this fall and may have the same architecture where you may be able to add games on that system as well. Get a few Wii pro controllers and you can play most games from Gameboy to N64 |

Is emulation a no no topic on this forum? As i'm not sure i'm not saying to do it, but emulation allows n64 games to be played at much higher resolutions which helps de-age it a little. It still will look old but will at least be as sharp and defined as the artwork/geometry allows.
The retro pi is a great and affordable option i'd recommend well above anything like the nes classic. |
