Default The Goodwill have dropped their prices

It seems that the Goodwill have dropped their prices on DVDs, Blu Rays and CDs.

CDs and DVDs are now $1
Blu Rays are $3.

I cant remember how much video games and box sets are. Its worth visiting your local goodwill.

Sorry just to clarify this was in Southern.Ontario at the Oakville location. It might only be a temporary sale. They had 4-5 book cases of dvds, cds, and records that needed to be cleared away.

The stores in my state vary wildly. One of them even charges PER DISC for multi-disc sets (they will open it and look). Unless its something very rare or HTF I don't shop there. They are at $3 per CD/DVD and $5 per blu.

Goodwill in Calgary is $3 per DVD (plus $1 for each additional disc within a set). Blu-rays are I think $5 or $5.50 still.

Not in Western Oregon. I go to a lot of them (different counties) and most have Blu Rays at 4.99 or 7.99. DVDs 2.99 or 3.99.

u wont find video games at goodwills in southwestern Ontario there management made the decision about 2 years ago to not sell any video games in the store now all goodwills in southwestern Ontario send any video games donated to the goodwill outlet here in London Ontario and they list them on ebay rather then sell them in store. they also do this with all high end and cool vintage stereo's and also with lego.

for a company who claims to be non profit they sure go out of there way to try to make as much off stuff people are donating them for free.

i went on there facebook page and ask why there doing this and they deleted my post.

Whenever I think of Goodwill, I think of that Sunday when I went to my local Goodwill and it was closed with no notice. Such a mess here in Toronto when they shut all of them down. Even worse for the employees who lost their jobs.

But $3 for a Blu-ray is a good price. Value Village has been raising their prices from the standard $4.99 for Blu-ray to $5.99 or more depending on the Blu-ray.

I was just at their Oakville Location and they had some PS3 games and Nintendo Wii games..not a lot.

I am going to check the burlington location soon.

That location migh have dropped their prices because they had 4 bookcases filled with DVDs. It could be a temporary sale.

Value Village here in Quebec are hit and miss. Some of the store managers/employee have started to change the pricing on Media and Books. CD's went from $1.99 to $2.99, DVD from $2.99 to $3.99/$4.99, Video Games are all over the place $5.99 for NHL 2012 LOL.

Biggest increase were in books, I was trying to put a Stephen King hardcover collection and usually I would pick them up for $2.99 or $3.99 (Usually 5 at a time to get 1 free book) but now they changed the prices to $7.99 & $9.99 on some books. At that price, I might aswell just wait for Indigo or Amazon and get a mint version. I know it's for a good cause when you spend money at Value Village, but why so greedy?

I honestly get most of my stuff from Facebook Marketplace or other non big box thrift stores, they offer a bigger bang for the buck.
