Did anyone here pick this up?

Your thoughts on A/V quality would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Has no one really bought this title yet...

I ask cause Shock has recently released a few Blu-rays with subpar transfers and cropped OAR.

Hopefully that's not the case with this film.

Agree. They've released some SHOCKing transfers recently. I would wait till there is some feedback on this before buying. Dave Lee recently purchased this. Maybe he can give some feedback.

Hopefully its ok and not one of those hard to find limited release titles like 8mm that wasn't on the shelf/sold for very long.

Looks like he's our only hope. Sorta like the world depends on him now.

Dave, if you're out there, help us out here.

I just got this in. It's 1:78 to 1. it's a nice transfer, no glaring issues and I'm guessing it's the same one Sony used for the US BD-R. It's region free and unfortunately, has no subs.

Thanks a ton. You're a Lifesaver!

Sadly, it seems like baboons still run the QC department at Shock.

The OAR is listed as 1:85:1 ... I guess they really love messing up stuff.

Despite g12345567's sound advice. I just couldn't resist and ordered it.

I'm still happy though to finally own this on Blu-ray.

Can anyone confirm if Shock's release is better than the US release?

Actually being on a real disc outweighs a lot of potential technical disadvantages

Although the US disc is apparently in the OAR and the Australian disc is not.

I'm not sure if this topic has ever been raised in the forums, but are BD-Rs capable of being copy-protected?

Because that too would change my mind about the format.

I have very few purchased BD-Rs in my possession (none of which are copy-protected), but they weren't produced by a major studio or label either.

It's been slightly but it's not a big deal esp as the disc is not pressed.

Sony’s is 1.85 and Shock’s 1.78? Not really a dealbreaker for choosing the overpriced burned disc. Honestly the best result would prolly just be to wait for Mill Creek to drop it
