Default Amazon.com weird shipping

At the Amazon BOGO sale, I bought the first 4 Harry Potter movies. I selected the option for the fewest shipments as possible so I'd get my movies at around the same time.

My movies all shipped within 10 hours of placing my order, however, it shipped in 2 separate orders.... why?? it seems really odd to send in 2 separate orders when it's only a matter of hours between shipments.

Another oddity is that the shipment which was sent last shows an expected delivery date a full day earlier than the one sent first.... ???

I don't really care that it was sent in 2 shipments as long as I get them, but I just found it kind of strange.

Check where they are coming from. When mine get split, they are usually shipping from different warehouses.

Definately means they are shipping from different locations. By the way when amazon does this they do not charge you extra. It's just happens to work out based on your purchase and the location of their inventory.
