I have absolutely ZERO problem with La La Land winning. It is a really wonderful film all the way around. I love everything about it.

That being said, I voted for Nocturnal Animals. I think Ford took a lot of chances with that film and that story. I mean, it never stood even a minimal chance. I understand that. But that's my vote.

My favorite film of last year was Kubo and The Two Strings, so it obviously ain't on here.

That being said, out of what's on here, Hacksaw Ridge gets my vote. A stirring, heartfelt war epic that was brutal as it was sincere.

Same here, my favorite movie from last year. With this & A Single Man, Tom Ford has gone 2 for 2. Hope he makes movies more frequently; would love to see him get a chance at something big, like the next Bond...
