I preordered this, but am on the fence, as the poster/SteelBook artwork could be better.

Well I had thought it was the only poster artwork, but I found 3 other Japanese posters that would make great SteelBook artwork. I hope they use them.

Not only does the UK get the Blu-ray but they get a steelbook... meanwhile in the U.S., DVD only and half of the films without Blu-ray releases.

SteelBook.com added a listing. Gloss varnish and images.

Header over the whole SteelBook. Is this 2018?

Honestly lame steelbook in my opinion. Blu-ray banner seemingly on the front and back side (wtf?), uses the exact same back and inside art as in the standard release, overall lame and nothing special. I'm not the kind of guy to buy a steelbook simply because it is a steelbook, it needs to be warranted.

The Movies 1-3 steel in 2016 also has the information and text on the background just like a standard release would, same with Yu-Gi-Oh! Bonds Beyond Time. Seems like a lot of anime releases are coming out lately that aren't aware of what the collectors are actually looking for with releases.

My Australian releases of the first three movies and Gold Edition both say they are Region B, but play perfectly on my American player. Manga UK could have different region lock settings though.

How is it? Good picture and sound?
At over £20 I'm thinking I'll just pick up the DVD since it's only £5

Why does it feel like a poorly made budget release every time something Pokémon related is put on to blu-ray?

The video quality, aside from Indigo League, has been solid. Art choice and design has never been a strong suit for Pokemon releases.
