Default 4K audio tracks worse than BD Counterparts

I thought it would be a good idea to ask you all what 4K discs sound worse than their bluray counterparts. This could be from Disney's Atmousing, too much revisionism, or other factors

I suppose an inarguable one is HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY because it can be scientifically proven, but the 4K is still no slouch.

I'll get plenty of hate for this, but I liken the Blade Runner Atmos track to the 'steroid-era' of major league baseball. Bigger, but artificially so. Impressive, but on a wholly superficial level

Plus most Disney stuff.
Also a special place in hell for all discs that have lossy original mixes, or worse no original mix at all.

Hands down most of the Disney Atmouse tracks on their UHDs and these from Unviersal mainly due to neutered LFE.

1. JP 1/2/3
2. Hellboy 2
3. FF-3 / 1
4. Oblivion

Because LFE channel is neutered. It is quite noticeable when you do A-B. Check AVS forum bass thread for more details.

So you want to take all the disagreements from the individual title threads and coalesce them into this one?

The DTS-HD MA tracks on their day-and-date releases are similarly mastered at a low volume, but there isn't a "lol clever" name for it like "Atmoused."

Hellboy 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: DMTNT both have objectively better DTS-HD MA tracks than their UHD counterparts, at least in the LFE department. Measurements are posted on AVS.

The Oblivion Atmos track has more headroom and almost no clipping. A lot of people prefer the brickwalled DTS track because it gives them harder LFE hits.

The Incredibles Atmos track is likewise an improvement, but there are a handful of split-second bass hits that are more forceful on the DTS. Disney gives you the option of either track on the UHD.

Mind linking that? I’m curious...

The Atmos remix is very aggressive in the use of heights and I think the music effects have been turned up in relation to dialog. I enjoyed it but many do not and it reportedly does not downmix well to non-atmos setups.

I'm pretty sure there was a big old hoo-hah about the sound mix on Halloween (the original) on here. Something about a downmix /revisionism?

Hellboy 2: UHD vs. BD
Notice the lower average volume of the LFE channel in the DTS:X track, as well as the steep dropoff below 30 Hz.

Pirates of the Caribbean - DMTNT: UHD (dotted line < 30 Hz indicates non-boosted frequencies) vs. BD
Significant differences in both peak and average LFE between Atmos (lower) and DTS-HD MA (higher).

The mono track included on the disc is simply a downmix of the 7.1 (maybe the 5.1? not sure) track, rather than the original mono audio. It was a mistake of a track that was included on the 30th anniversary BD, then corrected for the Shout! Factory box set, then included again (presumably by mistake) on the UHD.
