Looks cool. I bet she'll have a lot more moves in the final game, this being an early test. Nice to see the gameplay. Reminds me a lot of Soul Reaver with Raziel, these Darksider games.

So happy this is coming, i hope THQ Nordic release the book of lore that was supposed to come out years ago too, this is a franchise worth exploring!

The real world subway location looks cool, even though I've seen it in other games like Fallout 3 and Mad Max.

That's... a really cool collectors edition. Not gonna lie. Kind of shocked this wasn't at e3 in any major way.

Yeah, why wasn't this featured at E3? I guess it's still developing.

E3 2018 was kind of disappointing for the first time in awhile for me. Some great games, but not enough IMO.

THQ Nordic don't seem to do e3, they probably feel it isn't worth the cost to them. When they can release footage at there leisure at a less competitive time.

That's a good point. They release smaller cost titles in terms of production, and I bet having a presence at E3 would cost a bit of money for them.

This game series, Darksiders, has a good sized following though.

I wonder if you can pick your character? Or switch during gameplay. That would be cool.

In each game you're playing as one of the different Riders. In the first game you play War, the second you play Death and in this upcoming one you play Fury. But in the first two games (and likely the third) you cannot change between them.

Given how cheaply you can get the first two for (I see both going for less then $5aud each regularly) I strongly recommend checking them out. Especially if you are a fan of the 3d Zelda games. These are somewhat similar but with a twist and a whole lot of fun.

I never played any of the Darksiders games on any system. It seems to be my cup of tea though.

Went to Best Buy because I had the Collector's Edition preordered since August for my husband and I got a notification saying they were Out Of Stock
They went and searched in the back for like 20 minutes and didn't find it. But the girl said UPS hasn't showed up yet and it said something like it was 'in bound'.
I was so sad but polite and thanked her for looking. She said as long as the order says 'In Progress' that when it comes in, I should get a notification.
She even checked all surrounding Best Buy stores and they all.said the same thing.

Did anyone pick this up? I rented a copy last night and it's pretty fun. As soon as you start playing you know its a Darksiders game. So far the whip combat is very fast and fluid There are some really nice combos you can pull off. The best thing about the combos is that they are easy button pushes. Like the other games the movement sometimes gets away from you while fighting a mob of enemies. A simple dash out of combat and you are back to fighting though. So far there isn't a mini map and I kinda got lost once looking for an objective but that's the fun part of the adventure.

When talking about upgrades, at least for the whip it went back to the design of 1st game. So far the 3rd games doesn't seem as much of an RPG as the 2nd game did. You gain souls and purchase items or use the souls to level up. From there you earn points that you can apply to health, damage or arcane. It's a simple but effective concept.

Does this do anything to advance the existing story or is this all a side story taking place during one of the other games?

You meet all 4 horsemen during the intro. From there you physically meet War who is bound in chains yelling that it's a frame job and to not trust anyone. Then you are sent out to kill 7 bosses across the land. I don't know much more than but I'm still early in the game.
