Default 25 Days Of Christmas Movies (2016)

4th Annual 25 Days Of Christmas Movies!

Based off the success of last years 25 Days Of Christmas Movies we will be having our 4th annual event, we will continue this every year. Thanks for being a part of this event and enjoy.

We will be having Christmas nights this year, I will post at the bottom of this thread the nights in advance and the winner will receive a $5 Amazon gift card. Once the Christmas night is posted everyone will have a few days to post a photo about that theme. The order in which you post for that theme will be your number for the drawing. First post is 1, second is 2, etc. I will do a random number drawing from those numbers to determine the winner.

Since this is holiday based the goal here is to watch 25 Holiday/Christmas themed movies (any movie counts as long as you consider it a Holiday/Christmas movie) starting Dec.1st leading up to Christmas (we know holidays can be busy so watch as little or as many movies as you like). I am starting this early as well so feel free to start your holiday movies anytime and please give feedback etc on this event here.

Every time you watch a movie, make your post and give a rating and your thoughts on it. This should get everyone into the Christmas spirit and give us movie buffs ideas on movies we may not have seen. Please keep your thoughts generic and if you post spoilers, use the spoiler tags. The movies don't have to be on blu-ray.

Happy Holidays And Enjoy Everyone!!!!

Ratings:
- Epic Disaster; one of the worst out there
- Tad under average (2.5 would make it an average viewing)
- Above average
- Great Highly Recommended
- Masterpiece!; one of the best

25 Days Of Christmas 2013

25 Days Of Christmas 2014

25 Days Of Christmas 2015

Dec. 5th -8th: Our first Christmas night will be Christmas Tree. Everyone who has watched at least one movie and posts a picture of their tree will be eneterd to win. The contest starts today and will end Dec. 8th at 8 P.M. central time.

Bascially it will be a theme night so for example the Theme might be Snowman or something along those lines, everyone that posts a current picture of their snowman is in the drawing. Will prob be something along these lines.

Thanks for getting this started early. There is so much going on from Thanksgiving to Christmas, I will need to start in mid-November to get the full 25.

If it is related to snow like a Snowman like you said... would a Sandman count?

I'm definitely down for this one. Got a good amount of great Christmas comedies and horror for this year. So Thanksgiving is included with this too for the 25?

Edit: Nevermind on the Thanksgiving question. Just read the rules at the top. Prob should've done that first lol

I would expect movies set during Christmas count, I mean, who doesn't consider Die Hard one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time?!?

You are correct, this is about having fun and watching movies that make you think of Christmas. Die Hard is one of those films. Updated the org post as well.

That wouldn't do me any good. We don't get snow down here on the Gulf Coast.

I could probably name 25, I just don't have 25. Maybe something will be on TV.

Even including those kinds of films I don't think I could name 25. I certainly don't own that many.

Why do people always start this in early November? Christmas is almost 2 months away; shouldn't you wait until December for the 25-film marathon?

Same reason the 31 Days of Halloween Movies is started early, some people like to start early and or discuss the movies early as well.

No joke, i legitimately get into this debate every single year at work. Die Hard is 100% a Christmas movie. The term "Christmas movie" does not have some hard definition like some guys at work try to tell me. The movie Die Hard takes place at Christmas when a husband is going to visit his wife. The movie has a Christmas party, a Christmas tree, and Christmas is mentioned. It is a Christmas movie without a doubt.
