No one can say for sure, but I don't see stand alone UHDs going below $19.99 for a while.
You might see bundles, but a race-to-the-bottom is the last thing UHD needs right now. |

I've been wondering this myself...it's hard not to pull the trigger but we'll see what happens.
Stalker brings up a good point..they'll be a lot more affordable by this time next year. Many of the titles are double dips for me so patience is a virtue... I'd love to see The Revenant drop below $20 |

As much as I agree with you, now you see me did hit $13.99. I can see them hitting $15 and that would only be older stuff. The other part of me thinks 3D never really drops in price much. Why would 4K? If 4K does get a price drop it will only be stuff the has been out for a while or if the sequel of a film just got released. (Divergent movies were kind of low for a week)

I'm in the same dilemma as some others. Most are double dips so they can wait. There are a few I don't have yet and they just aren't low enough for me to buy. However, the Blu-ray versions are being heavily discounted... ugh! I may just get the Blu-ray's at a discount and wait for the prices to drop. I don't have a 4K setup, I am just trying to future proof as much as possible.

I’ve had some luck in random times for finding 4K movies on sale. I got the first Maze Runner for $8 in 4K this year. Paid $16 for John Wick. It just depends. It seems to be random times for sure. I haven’t seen anybody offering 4K movies for Black Friday besides Fry’s though unfortunately. I have the player and movies but haven’t upgraded my AVR or TV yet, but love getting deals on the movies. My Atomic Blonde preorder is almost at $20 now which is exciting. I don’t hope the prices drop too much because that means less people are buying the movies (which sucks! I love physical media!!) but a little gouge wouldn’t hurt anybody. Especially the consumer! 🤓
