Do you run your HDMIs to Tv and audio out to your receiver, or do you run your HDMIS to the receiver and then on to the TV?

I’ve always gone to the receiver....curious what others do and why

My 4k Blu ray (Samsung-k8500) I have one hdmi to tv and one hdmi to receiver. All my other devices, Comcast, laptop and PS4 goto the receiver. It's work flawless for me. Good Luck.

Mines like that too, Got my uhd player (Panasonic ub700, straight to tv the other hdmi audio to receiver all other things straight it to av receiver (onkyo 607) only reason why uhd isn’t straight into amp is because it doesn’t support 3d or 4K, toslink cable from tv to receiver too as no arc either!! Time for an amp upgrade soon though .

In my main set-up I run the Blu-ray, cable box and Appletv HDMI's into the AVR, with one out to the projector.

In my bedroom I run the UHD Blu-ray, cable box and Appletv into the tv via HDMI, then Toslink out to the 2.1 Amplifier.

Both work well.
