Question 19th century films on Blu-ray?

I've been doing some research on early cinema and have only found one (Region 2) Blu-ray release of material before 1902: LUMIÈRE http://amzn.eu/bc9nGfV, 4K restorations of over 100 of these French brothers' films. Several have been uploaded here: https://www.youtube.com/user/maccafan21/videos

Does anyone know of any others?

To be clear, I'm looking for material FILMED before 1902, not SET before 1902. I would prefer Region 1/A (USA) since I do not have a region-free player.

Thanks in advance!

That Lumiere set is fantastic, but I don't think it's region A. The stuff you're looking for is primarily on DVD, not blu-ray. It's niche stuff. Keep an eye on Nitrateville.

The "Trip to the Moon" disc from Flicker Alley includes a Méliès short called "The Astronomer's Dream" from 1898.

Thank you for your replies. I posted the same thing on Nitrateville yesterday with no reply.

I had forgotten that Astronomer's Dream was 1898 - I actually have that Blu-ray, which is fantastic! I particularly like the soundtrack by Air on the color version of Trip to the Moon.

Great thread. I shall get a copy of "Lumiere" and "A Trip to the Moon". It must be grand to revisit the oldest cinematic pieces on DVD/blu-ray.
