I'm assuming the title means "Films that are considered good that we hate" as opposed to films we think are technically good, but don't like.
Hate is too strong, but I didn't like The Graduate. |

A friend of mine who is a (closet) feminist loves horror movies, but she hates The Shining and Brian De Palma movies because she thinks they are misogynistic. I know somebody who sold his blu-rays of Juno and Hard Candy after Ellen Page became Elliott Page. Now that's a scary kind of hate.
Wouldn't it be more interesting to explain the hate of a "good" movie? |

As for why I hate Crash, I just don't think it's good is all. How it beat Brokeback Mountain is beyond me. Even the Academy later regretted it. |

Gone With The Wind - if it was just the first two hour portion it wouldn’t be too bad but the back half turns into pure soap opera overstuffed with plot dramatics that alternate between turgid and laughable at times. From a technical standpoint it’s marvellous but the storytelling is just too flabby.

I don't hate most films. The only ones I truly hate are the Disney remakes, and that's mostly Beauty and the Beast which I despise.
With that being said, there are many films that are considered good that I don't particularly care about: I think I never managed to find Casablanca that interesting. I think some MCU films are good (GotG vol 2, Ragnarok) but I don't particularly care about them. Some Pixars - most notably the Toy Stories and Docter's films (including Soul). Pixar just doesn't emotionally resonate with me the way WDAS does, they can be too calculated sometimes. |

I don't hate good movies, but there are films that are considered good that I didn't like despite respecting the effort made.
Wolf of Wall Street, well made but to me was bereft of any point thematically or morally. Just 3 hours of a shameless crook being decadent with only his comeuppance being a slap on the hand. Was that it? No thanks. Tenet, impressively made, with big ideas and concepts... but once again Nolan writes his characters like plot devices, spewing philosophical anecdotes, or exposition. There's barely a shred of humanity to invest in the characters from an emotional standpoint. The movie is all brain, no heart. Nolan needs a co-writer to write characters.
