Seems like there is a high chance of this not happening though. Since in a month the people in charge of the production might change and it will be up to Disney to decide if they want to make the movie

Brian Michael Bendis is creative cancer.

He would sjw the X-Men to where they would be unrecognizable just like his awful work in the books THAT DID NOT SELL.

This would be franchise suicide if Disney hires Brian Michael Bendis to do anything. In fact, Disney should force every writer to read his recent stuff as what NOT to do.

But I don't see how legally Disney can approve anything when they don't own the studio or movie rights to the characters yet? And they would run the risk of regulatory problems if they try and make under the table deals in the interim.

From what I understand is happening, Fox has to keep up business as usual as much as possible until the deal is fully approved and they will keep developing movies. But while everything in the filming or later stage is safe once the merger goes through, Disney executives will look over the movies Fox has in development and decide which of those to make.

Don’t believe anything until it goes in front of the cameras. There’s nothing stopping him from announcing he’s working on a script, but it’s a long way away from even being considered for priduction.

Back in the day on Tumblr (yes, I was quite active on there for a while, lmao) I followed Bendis, and he use to make it seem like he was heavily involved in writing the scripts for the first handful of MCU films. Turns out it was bull, although he gave the impression that every Marvel home run was a personal victory in which he'd played an essential part, lol.

I will just echo what someone said on reddit:

Currently, it's still moving along its early stages. It's project title is 143 and it's starring Kitty Pryde, Bendis' favorite X-Men character.

Now that we know FOX is bought by DISNEY -- if this isn't shut down -- I wonder which 'Peter' Bendis plans on having Kitty Pryde get with:

- Parker

- Quill

or

- Rasputin

For those of you who don't know, Bendis is a long-time Marvel comics writer who either writes really good or really, really, really f***ing bad.

He made Jessica Jones, Miles Morales, and Ultimate Spider-Man (which is who MCU Spider-Man is based on).
