Default Sony XBR75X850E

Hi, it looks like the Sony XBR75X850E is going to be $1999.99 at Best Buy for Black Friday. Does anybody have any experience with TV? Any pros & cons about this tv would be appreciated. Thanks.

I love Sony's X850E for it's value and what I call the price/performance ratio. However, if your budget permits Sony is also including the 75" X900E for Black Friday and the deal is very compelling. Here's just two of my favorite advantages of the X900E vs the X850E.

The X900E is a full array local dimmed "VA" LCD/LED panel and the X850E is edge lit and and IPS panel. I prefer the deep black that only VA panels can deliver.

We're exhibiting at the New York Audio Show and I brought Sony's 75" X900E for our UHD/HDR Dolby Atmos demo and it looks fantastic!

I agree with the first post in addition to that the 900 is brighter which is better for HDR, the local dimming makes non HDR content look almost like if it was but otherwise the 850 should be a good choice too for less.

I just purchased the 75" 850E. I hope I didn't make a mistake.
