Lie to Me Season 2

I see that this is coming out on DVD November 9th any news on the Blu-ray release??

I am pretty sure I read it's not getting one. The first did not sell all that great and if a show does not sell well on Blu Fox gives up and does DVD only. It's a shame but Fox sucks like that. Hell they released seasons 1 and 3 of Prison Break but not 2 and 4 that tells you the logic Fox thinks with.

Well that is some BS...this is one of the best shows...o well I guess DVD it is.

Yeah I know it really sucks. It has been happening with Blu Ray TV shows so much that I tend to just go for the DVD now anyway. I hate the look on the shelf of having some of the seasons on DVD and some on Blu. My Burn Notice seasons are DVD, Blu, and DVD for seasons 1-3 and it just looks really weird on the shelf.

Yeah, unfortunately, ArmyofDarkness is exactly correct. Lie To Me Season 2 will not be getting a BD release. I was very disappointed by the news as well.

I could have sworn I saw an advertisement when I was watching "Lie to Me" one night, and they advertised the boxed set of season two and they advertised and touted it being on BOTH standard and bluray. I can see a lot of people in this thread were genuinely shocked that Season 2 wasn't on blu, and I think this is why. They advertised it in the format. Especially stupid since they broadcast it in hi-def anyway.

I was pissed they did this with the USA show "White Collar", another show I love, that Season 1 looks incredible in bluray...Fox released that one as well. I don't see why they can't manufacture a few based on pre-orders and then make them based on demand...I guess that makes too much sense for them...especially when you view the world in dollars and cents and not remotely in artistic integrity.

Got this e-mail this morning from Amazon US and was STOKED because I've never bothered with Seasons 2 or 3 thanks to Fox fobbing off on the Blu-ray releases after watching Season 1 on Blu-ray.

Turns out there is nothing there on Amazon but a completely empty Blu-ray line, but what prompted this after so long, this little e-mail that piqued my excitement to finally see the next season of this great show in BD quality? Bumming now, just like I was 9 years ago, lol.

I had exactly the same with Pan Am, Amazon's system has obviously thrown a wobbly.

It's unfortunate that there' isn't something like MassDrop for stuff that doesn't exist. At least it would be a way to convince companies to release shows on Blu-Ray by showing that there are X number of people who are interested enough in buying to commit to it without the product even existing yet.
