Disney Jungle Cruise (2021) [No 3D Blu-ray]

This is being released in RealD3D theatrically. I was able to catch the 3D Trailer recently in front of a 3D screening of Frozen II. The trailer had some pretty strong depth to it and the movie looks like it could be quite fun.

This is one Disneyland ride I would never have thought could have a movie made behind it, which makes it part of the joke I guess.

Count me in. Collet-Serra is an underrated director, the story looks like a cross between The African Queen and The Mummy, and I'll gladly watch anything starring Emily Blunt. If it has strong 3D as well, this could be a blast.

Thanks for the post and trailer. Blunt, river ride in a jungle, creatures, danger... I'm in. I also hope it gets a 3D, BD release and that the 3D is worthy.

Brings back memories. It was THE ride when Disneyland opened in '55. Rode it that year when they used to SHOOT that pesky hippo!

That critter had tough hide. He was still there last time I visited.

You know this will! Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson movies have a good chance of having a 3D blu-ray release! Maybe he has some input on it?... like Yo! put all my movies out of 3D blu-ray so I can enjoy it in my home theater... or something like that. Haha.

I was on this ride at Disneyworld not long ago, and it definitely needs an update, as the animatronic animals are stiff and not believable. The reason they keep things in their original state, is because frequent Disney park fans want things kept the same. One reason It's a Small World still has the original toy characters, some even falling apart if one looks closely enough.
But yeah, that's interesting they're making this into a movie. Hopefully lots of splashing water in 3D.

Splashing water yeah the nostalgia is strong on that ride. And I think the joke works well. Next we’ll have Dwayne Johnson in a Swiss outfit scaling the Matterhorn lol.

Wonder if we’ll get a ‘Main Street’ movie bio for Walt himself sometime soon too - that could be fun as well.

Yeah, but they don't shoot at him anymore! They quit doing that around the '70's. Guess they decided they had to be politically correct.

I just hope they don't do what they did to the last of Dwayne Johnson's fun films and completely kill any Blu-ray in 3D worldwide! Maybe somewhere someday somebody will come up with a 3D Blu-ray of "The Next Level". After all, we already know a 3D master exists!

Hopefully but they are guilty of skipping a few like Pete's Dragon, Nutcracker and Wrinkle in Time. Although those did all flop so hopefully this one is a big hit.

Mary Poppins Returns was never converted/shown in 3D theatrically, so it was never coming to 3D Blu-ray.
