Anyone know whats up with this?
Is it a mistake on Itunes part or is it edited?

Well, since PG-13 didn't exist in 1982, it must be one of those.

Just an error. The film has an NC-17 listing and no lower rated cut, you can search filmratings.com

Anybody who believes this is going to be a PG-13 movie is in for a rude awakening. It can be a PG-13 movie only if the majority of the movie is edited. Some horror films such as Cabin Fever has a toned down version.

I think iTunes has had this as a mistake for quite a while now. I would contact them to point out the mistake, but I think it's too funny and I don't want to ruin it.

Carol is also listed as PG-13, I was afraid it was cut from R and I still haven't purchased it even when it was $4.99

The extended cut of Rock of Ages (which I have ported in from Movies Anywhere) is also listed as PG-13; but only the theatrical cut should be listed that way, the extended is R. I think these are all just errors, the official ratings as well as any alternate cut ratings is on the MPAA's website.
