Unhappy My Blu-Ray player quit

Back in November I bought a Panasonic Blu-Ray player The BD10A.I have been very happy with my purchase untill today.I went to put a Blu-Ray disc into my player and my player would not read it.It gives me a No Disc message like there is no Blu-Ray disc is in the player, but there is.Thought it might of been the disc and tryed others and they dont work either.I even put a DVD in and will not read that either. What's wrong with my Blu-Ray player?

This is exactly why I can't buy one of their players. I have no trust in the quality of Panasonic other than their hand-held tape recorders.

Call Panasonic and ask them what to do. I'm sure they'll have you send it back in for a repair and will get it fixed or replace it with another player.

Not sure why so many people (new members, I might add) seem to think Panasonic isn't a quality product. I have one of their first dvd recorders (talk about something that cost a fortune when new) and it still works today and has never skipped a beat.

This is an obvious question, but there weren't any smudges on the disc were there? I'm sure you already checked that, but a smudge gave my PS3 a disc read error until I pulled it out and saw my stupid thumb print.

I thought the PS3 was already capable of decoding Dolby TrueHD.

I have only experienced at best, mediocre quality from Panasonic. That is the basis of why I have this “opinion”. Also, being a "new member" to this forum doesn't define or have any relevance to my experience as a consumer and my ability to review a product and base it on my standards of quality, so I’m not sure what you meant by that.
