Hmm, could this be one of the two numbered titles from Sony that we're currently missing? It wouldn't surprise me if it was.

KingSimba, where do you get these dates? Are you on some sort of a mailing list and if so, how can you sign up for one?

Nope, not on any mailing lists.

I get most release dates from places like the BVA website, retailers like Amazon/Play etc.

my question is what is Sony planning--if anything-- after this and Caine Mutiny come out?
Those are the only 2 older classics I have even heard being talked about over the last few months for Sony.
maybe throw in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but that's a 70's film.
Is Sony even going release any other 50's and 60's films on bd?
or god forbid, an actual 30's or 40's classic.
We know that Lawrence of Arabia is coming next year, but what else?
Is this it for Sony as far as older classic on bd?

The worst part being they have done a complete grain remaster of "from here to eternity" !!! And yet it's still not out on blu-ray yet !!!!!!!!

This would contradict Penton-Man's post from earlier this year that suggested we wouldn't see GUNS until 2012.

Apologies. I misremembered this - he was actually talking about MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL.

They haven't officially been announced yet.

However Lawrence of Arabia will most likely be one, and is currently due for release next year.

The Caine Mutiny is also due for release next year and could be another.

Haven't seen The Guns Of Navarone for eons. Stopped watching 'old' war films years ago but I've been having a bit of reboot on Blu-ray and enjoying most of them.

I'll go for this when it drops back to £6.
