Help identifying Japanese (or Korean?) horror flick

Sorry to be so vague but the movie in question is about a film crew who sets up a camera to film a ghost. The ghost is not one of those vengeful or terrifying ghosts from other Asian films, just a dead person.

I believe the ghost is trapped inside a room but somehow manages to escape and the movie’s protagonist follows it around town.

That’s all I remember and it’s all very sketchy in my head so if this sounds vaguely familiar please post your response as I’m longing to watch this movie again.
