So I moved my Sony S300 to the bedroom TV, which is a 32" Vizio VX32L. According to Vizio, this TV has a native rez of 1366 x 768, obviously short of the 1920 x 1080 needed for true 1080p.
However, when playing a Blu-ray movie today, the S300 indicated it was sending in 1080p and the TV's info button indicated it was displaying 1080p. I didn't think this was possible. Could one of you tech geniuses clue me in as to how a non-1080p TV could claim to be displaying a 1080p signal? Thanks! |
