For some reason I confused this with Star '80. Which was a sad story

I still don't get why they have pre-orders the day it comes out theatrically, do the movie studios think that badly of us that they assume we have that short of an attention span? lol

Something interesting I noticed about Bradley Cooper’s voice now that the song is on the radio in fairly normal rotation: it sounded better in the movie. But how could that be? Well, I think I know why.

In the movie, you’re watching his excellent acting, which is technically “masking” his “ok” singing. Yet when the song is on the radio while you’re in the car or at work, it’s more noticeable that he’s not a singer (I’m aware that he took vocal lessons for four months. This isn’t a diss. Just an observation).

That's why the cinema is god! I still love listening to soundtracks and songs from films, but nothing beats the full experience.

Looking forward to getting the Target exclusive.

I dunno about this particular case, but it could have something to do with a theater having a MUCH better sound system than your car or your kitchen?

No, it’s not that. I understand what you’re saying, but, music is my thing.

Great vocals are great vocals no matter if through a cinema sound system or a dinky radio.

Hmmm. I'll take your word to it. But I had season's tickets to the opera for five years, listened to classic recordings for literally decades, and to me there's something different between hearing an epic recording of Wagner's Ring from the 40s on a home audio system or in person, and listening to it in my car.

But like I said -- and I was NOT kidding at all -- it might just be me. My audio skills are not ... great.

I’ll go into watching it at home with this in mind. Although I know exactly what you mean- You could be onto something- but I’m not sure.

We know Bradley is not a legit singer like Lady GaGa, so there’s also that

Comparing movie theater acoustics to home theater/car acoustics is in no way analogous to comparing live theater acoustics to home theater/car acoustics. Movie theater and live theater are two very different things.

Both my home audio system and my car audio system put some movie theaters to shame. For instance, the Music Box theater in Chicago has atrocious sound, enough so that it definitely lessens the movie experience for me and sometimes makes it hard for me to judge the quality of the movie itself.

The songs in the movie are live, they didn't want to go the traditional route where actors lip sync the songs. It's all live. The songs on the soundtrack/radio are a mix between the voices in the film and studio re-recordings. That's why they sound different.

So apparently something called A Star Is Born Encore was just rated by the MPAA with the message saying the content is different from the original version. What do you think this could be? Extended Cut?

Either an extended cut or the exact same movie with a new intro video or something.

If it's the latter, I doubt WB would send it for a new rating.
