The one to beat for 2016?

Digital Trends seem to think so.

What do you think?

Been waiting awhile for this. Unless there's some really crappy real world performance reviews, it's a day one purchase.

I am really contemplating the 65 inch. Once I see some good reviews I'll probably jump on it. I just applied for a Best Buy card and got $2000 so I'll use the 12 months interest free and go for it. I love the idea of the tablet as the controller. Very neat idea in theory so as long as performance is there I'm in.

After viewing your home theater gallery, I would invest in a entertainment center first before you go out and buy a bigger HDTV, so you'll have the accommodations and enough space to put it, unless you are going mount it on the wall. You are in desperate need of an entertainment center or an audio rack to place your A/V equipment.

That picture is years old. That was right after I moved into my apartment before I even had all my stuff there. I now own a house and have a completely different set up. I've been meaning to take a new picture.

I think this weekend I may take an updated set of pictures and delete the old ones. I looked and I uploaded those in late 2010...probably time for new ones. I agree about my old set up though...it was a mess. I am still in the "move in" process with this house, but it still looks way better.

Definitely has a good refresh rate - I mean actual, not 'effective'

Still not sure what that is fully about myself...

Higher refresh rates usually translates to less motion blur with sports and games.

...BTW the rest of this thread so far could have been done via IM.

oOoOoh, looks really nice and the price is surprisingly affordable. I'm now torn between this and the LG UH7700 series. I do want to see how the viewing angles look on this though as I watch a lot from an angle and will even more when my son gets home.

AVS is a fantastic forum for anything electronics. Btw, someone should change the spelling of this thread. It's Vizio, not Visio-sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Will do. I'm no professional reviewer by any means but I'll let you know my thoughts. Have the UHD player coming too. Plan on just seeing how the up conversion is for now as I own most of the movies on blu that have been released on UHD so far. I haven't updated my owned movies list in forever on here though. I may end up picking up Sicario. I also don't have my home theater system on here but I have the Onkyo 545 running a 7.1 surround.
