Panorama will release John Woo's Manhunt (2017) on June 29th.

Sadly, I must say I'll pass despite being a John Woo fan.

I don't think this is as terrible as some people make it out to be, but it's not good either. It has its moments here and there, but that's not enough. A damn shame, this could and should have been a lot better.

Instead why don't we get other, older Woo movies on UHD or even regular Blu-ray?

I think I'll be picking this up. I don't get the hate for this movie and the BD has some serious banding issues, so if the UHD gets rid of that, it'll be worth it for me alone. If it doesn't, well life's a b****.

Received this last week and took a first brief look ...

For now just two things: The banding in the opening that is present on the BD is gone (and I hope all other occurrences are as well then) and so is the poor compression I remembered from the BD around the 00:12:10++ mark. So it was worth it for that alone.

Other than that, it looks very good to me, but I didn't compare it with the BD (because it's a pain via projector/HDMI-switching and the disc is not supported via PC yet).

I am one who cares about this movie

I appreciate the time and work you are doing on this title. Manhunt is on Netflix in HD and looks pretty good...really it does, but the UHD disc steps it up a notch and just gives you that look we are looking for. I am viewing on a 55" LG E6 using a Oppo 203 player. Looking forward to more comparisons on this title from you.

Not a big deal, I really liked the ending along with the ending song by Taro Iwashiro, and was interested in seeing how much of a difference there was.

I did a snap using Netflix streaming on the PC.

We can always hope someday to get some Woo's classic films on 4K UHD.
