Holy shit!!! Umbrella are damn legends for bringing this out. So stoked I can't believe it!

I wonder where they are getting their transfer from... Uk, France, Italy or Japan?

Will probably get this if it's cheap, because of the documentry. I know that the fear at 400 degrees is from the uk disc

Ohhhh if they do a nice job on this and it doesn't have any issues like the odd colors, etc, I gotta have it! Can't wait for more info and it comes out and we see some reviews.

Going from one of the special features it sounds like the UK transfer.

Well all I can say is that I am extremely hopeful given that it's Umbrella doing this. I have been consistently impressed by them with their releasing of titles we simply don't see by the majors yet they always handle them well. I own a few of their titles and they are comparable to their overseas counterparts released by Sony in the US (Starman, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein etc).

I have high hopes that this will be another excellent release - fingers crossed! Umbrella's inclusion of decent transfers and lossless audio (something which the likes of Madman Entertainment would do well to take a lesson from) definitely put them at the top of the small time distributors here in Australia, not to mention their titles have more recently started showing up in the 2 for $20 sales.

JB always do that when they haven't got the official details. I have the UK release but might double dip for artwork

Went into JB today and picked up a Stack magazine, and they had a little piece on this disc, with a rather interesting statement in it.

" Fans dissapointed with the British Blu Rays horribly saturated transfer will want to replace it with this superior local edition pronto"

Might see if I can grab this cheap when it comes out to confirm a better transfer.

It also has a little comment on 5.1 sound in case anyone was wondering.

Wow that's a bold statement... hope they can back it up. I wonder if they did their own adjustments to it, hopefully it didn't reduce the quality.

I ordered from JB AUS, but it still says 'Pre Order' on the listing, even though its the release date today.

Working on a custom cover for this.

I believe it's included in the 2 for 30 sale already.

If it contains TrueHD, I will place my bets now that it is a port of the Japanese BD transfer.

It still has the overblown contrast, pinkish tones and yellow madness.

Someone out there actually made a Fan Edition which has the "correct" colours: http://fanedit.org/ifdb/component/co...served-edition

Awesome!
Question is, how do I get a copy? Does it require a donation? I will go bootleg at this point, now knowing it probably won't be until the remake is made that Miramax re-releases this, and even then it isn't a guarantee.
I must have the fan-made bootleg.

Default Suspiria - Australian Release

Hey guys, I was just wondering what you guys think of the current Australian blu-ray release for Suspiria? I'm thinking about getting it as part of the buy 2 get 1 free sale from JB. I know the colours are still messed up and the contrast is out of control but it looks like a pretty good release for the time being for just over $10.

Am I better off getting another blu release of it or would this be my best bet for the time being? And that is what I'm aiming for. I plan on buying the definitive copy when it eventually gets released. I'm okay with double dipping but I just want to know if this is a good one to get for the time being.
