Default Wireless HD

Im sure many of you know of this technology and im probably late in posting this, but what do you guys think of cutting out the wires for your sets?

http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/01/03/w....ap/index.html

to add that, are there any audio receivers and speakers that transmit wireless...? 5 or 7 wires going undre the carpet and through the walls have always been a problem.

Just as long as it's not made mandatory. I don't take kindly to paying $200+ dollars per component, thank you very much.

I'm sure one day wireless may become the norm but for now, there are just too many problems with wireless that makes it not worth the trouble for me.

Interference and total available spectrum bandwidth are just some "hard to overcome" issues.

I wonder how soon this will be available (specifically for DLPs).
