Default Orbit DVD

Didn't see a thread started for Orbit, if I missed it, my apologies.

I can't give enough praise to this company. I've order from them a number of times now, and their response time has always been great.

Ordered 2 movies at 12noon today and 30 minutes later I received an email stating it's been packed and shipping label created. Cannot beat that!

If you don't know about them, I encourage you to give them a chance. They also offer free shipping if you have 3 or more items in your order with the code: 3FREE

They recently started taking preorders as well, if that is something you want.

Check them out the next time you are looking to pick up some movies or even some books:

https://www.orbitdvd.com/

Feel free to post your purchases below as well

I hit up their store in Asheville once or twice a year when I'm in town for a concert or weekend getaway with the wife.

New sign on the Orbit site about shipping changes:

USPS is making changes. They are removing first class and parcel select and combining them into something new called "USPS ground advantage" Media mail rates are also going up. These are all official USPS changes.

Has anyone sold to them before? I've got some stuff I want to sell but don't feel like dealing with eBay these days so I'm thinking about sending like 20-30 items.

These changes started today on Ebay as well. The price for media went up to $3.92 for a single movie. The first class package I'm shipping appears to be about the same price as before.

best thing is they state in the description whether or not it comes with a slipcover.

some unique used movies but the good ones sell fast.

Mistakenly posted this on another thread so I’m reposting here…

Has anyone received a shipping notification for an order made during the recent 20th Anniversary sale on Orbit DVD?

I ordered several Blue Underground releases on September 16th and have yet to receive any follow up.

This was my first time ordering from Orbit. Is this normal, or should I contact them?

Thanks in advance!

The two orders I placed on the 15th shipped over the weekend. One Saturday and the other Sunday.

And from a separate email they sent, it appears they will still be shipping orders from the 15th today.

Has anyone ever purchased from Orbit at a convention before? Just curious how much they mark up their prices compared to the website - trying to budget for HorrorHound Weekend in a few weeks in Cincy and they're going to be there.

Based on the prices I see when they post pictures at conventions, they're exactly the same as they are in the store. The prices online are the same in person, and if they have any stock left of harder to find titles, conventions are a good chance to get them.

I didn't see this sooner, but since I mail stuff to them from the Raleigh area, it's a pretty smooth process. Your best best is to send an email with what you want to sell them and they'll give you a quote - they usually quote credit but will let you know how much in cash if you ask. I've done both, and with media mail it's not too bad - the box usually gets there in 3 days.

Thanks - I actually reached out to them via email and they promptly responded that their pricing is identical at shows to their website

Thanks for the reply. I actually did send them a box earlier this year and it went very smoothly. Took a couple of days for the initial response, but that was expected. I'm starting to get together another batch to send out.

Hello, I recently ordered for the first time from Orbit DVD. Supposedly, the USPS delivered it yesterday evening, but there's nothing in my mailbox or in the hallway of my building.

How big are Orbit's boxes? Is there anything distinct on their boxes? I ordered three 4Ks, if that matters. Hopefully it wasn't stolen.

Thank you.

Three UHD's they probably used their standard 10" x 7" x 2" box. They do have an Orbit DVD stamp on the box. You might want to contact your post office, sounds like it was either stolen or delivered to someone else.

It arrived this afternoon, thankfully. It's in a smaller box and there's no Orbit DVD stamp on it.

The mail person delivered my mail, but then everyone else's packages arrived later. I thought both mail and packages always arrived together.

It's well packaged, so much bubble wrap! Can't wait to see Seven Samurai.

Thanks for your time and help!

I've ordered a couple of times from Orbit and they've been good. Their customer service can be a bit snarkly though.

Yeah, there were having none of it when I requested a replacement for a badly misaligned Arrow box set a year or so ago. Not openly hostile but you could tell they were irritated by the request. Ended up fobbing me off to Arrow, which was basically telling me I was SOL.
