Such a store doesn’t exist anymore around here (that I’m aware of). Seeing a sign like that with those titles listed in 2018 is mind blowing.

Hello, fellow Kansas Citian! Video Mania is cool, but they're mostly "adult" stuff last I checked. They have a decent new rental selection if you're interested in something like that, but the older movies were mostly sold off the last time I was in there (several years ago). Then there's the "back room," which I imagine is decently stocked considering that I saw several dudes go in there in the 30min I was there.

These days I go to Vintage Stock, Redbox, or the library (no blu-rays) for rentals, or (more often) I blind buy. I miss Hollywood at Home, SRO Video and Video Library. Having video rental stores around saved me hundreds of dollars every year. Those were the days.

Scarecrow Video in itself is pretty mind blowing. In all my years of going there, I have only ever found a tiny, tiny of handful of movies they don't have. Here's just a couple of the shelves:

I sadly no longer have a local entertainment sgore, even Hastings is gone,

We're left with retailers like Target and Wal-Mart locally, our local market caters to music and games.

I wish we had one, all there is around here is a Family Video (no idea how it says in business) and a few pawn shops masquerading as video game stores. One of them suckered a lady out of a CD-i and game collection then bragged about it on facebook. She could have gotten so much more selling it herself on ebay.
