That's interesting. I remember starting to watch this on YouTube a while back, but never made time to finish. I think I stopped at the part where the Claus's get stuck in some snowstorm before a light appears. But it didn't really flip my switch anyway. The only Salkind guilty pleasure I'd like to see on BD is Supergirl.

I'd get it if it were the Tim Allen release.

Default Santa Claus: The Movie not playing. HELP!

I went to watch my BD copy of "Santa Claus: The Movie" today for the first time and my Sony BDP-S560 player will not recognize the disc. All the firmware is up to date and I have no idea why this might be. Has anyone else had an issue with this release? This is the first time my player has ever done this.

hmmm...well, if your firmware is up to date and this is the first disc you've had an issue with, I'd say there's a good chance it could be the disc itself. I recall mine being somewhat of a slow loader, did you give it plenty of time to load, or does the player just reject it outright?

it tries to read it for a minute or two and then just rejects it.

I am watching it right now. I always watch it on Christmas Eve. It was on AMC HD and it looks great but just a little too bright and over saturated in the reds. First time watching it in HD

I have the DVD(which has 5.1) but never bought the blu ray because it does not have 5.1

I am still waiting for The Night they saved Christmas. Two of my favorite Christmas movies.

Not Blu-ray, but it's on TubiTV (with ads). It's a legit, legal service, don't worry. You can get Tubi on Roku if you want to watch it on your TV.
