As per The List, it will be coming from Universal in spring:

Somehow out of all the great movies in that list, this is the one that got me the most excited.

sure hope they do a remaster of this one....

I had just popped in my blu ray a few weeks ago to demo some sound effects and the PQ left a lot to be desired..

One of my top 20 movies. Ron Howard's best, absolutely love it. I'll definitely be picking this up.

It's up there with The Usual Suspects as one of the best movies with a Baldwin not named Alec.

Love Back Draft. KR is one of the few actors that can act and eat a sandwich at the same time. WB, we need Executive Decision. Like now.

I was actually thinking about Backdraft a few nights ago while I was watching Skyscraper. I didn't even dare to dream of a 4K release, but the magic is real.

Me too, not when watching Skyscraper I mean but I listen to 'The Show Goes On' all the time and whenever I do, I wonder when Backdraft will show up on UHD.

Since everybody else is making these bogus threads, maybe I'll start a thread and say: The Abyss and True Lies is is coming out in 4K, and REALLY get everybody stirred up in a frenzy over nothing! I can't believe how some people can be so gullible, and believe anything. If I posted that Michael Jackson is going to rise out of his tomb and record a new album, they would believe that too!

If/when 'Backdraft' is released on 4K BD, I will certainly get it! Great film imo!

Thanks, I will and here is why.

1. It's a big title for Universal that has been released on every format.
B. Universal is supporting the format more than any studio.
D. It's not True Lies and The Abyss.

this wouldn't be much of a surprise since Universal recently made a Backdraft II with Billy Baldwin back as Brian McCaffrey.....
