A Non Disclosure Agreement is usually signed by corporations before they enter into a business venture or partnership. The NDA is used to protect corporate information, strategy, secrets, ect that will be shared in the business relationship.

Basically, you can be sued and/or sent to jail by making public any private information of a business or entity in which you are entering the agreement for "some" transaction.
