Default Boccaccio '70 (1962)

Boccaccio '70 Blu-ray

This October, Kino Lorber will release Boccaccio '70 on Blu-ray. A spirited anthology from four of the greatest Italian directors - Mario Monicelli (Casanova '70), Federico Fellini (8½), Luchino Visconti (The Leopard), and Vittorio De Sica (Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow) - the film loosely adapts Boccaccio's Decameron to depict the sexual hypocrisies plaguing 1960's Italy.

From Kino's official press release:

"Monicelli's 'Renzo e Luciana' (cut out of the original American release) is a frothy tale of young love and office politics in the big city. Fellini's notorious 'Le tentazioni del dottor Antonio' features Anita Ekberg (La Dolce Vita) as a busty model in a milk advertisement whose image begins to haunt an aging prude. Visconti's 'Il Lavoro' stars Romy Schneider (What's New *****cat) as a trophy wife enduring her husband's very public affairs, and De Sica's 'La Riffa' raffles off a night with Sophia Loren (Nine) to a lucky ticket-holder during a small town fair."

Kino's Blu-ray presents the 204-minute-feature in 1080p with a monaural Italian (w/English subtitles) audio track. The disc also includes a number of special features, such as:
