Not sure if this topic has been made yet, but I figured it'd make for a fun topic and reference page.

Feel free to include documentaries and concert films too.

Note #1: Dangerous Game included as portions of the film was shot on either VHS or SD digital. Same goes for Bamboozled, Hideous, Halloween: Resurrection and the three Puppet Master sequels included in this list.

Note #2: My decision to include Ichi the Killer may be a bit of a controversial choice, but from the research i've done, all current HD prints of the film (including the 4K restoration) are derived from a digital SD video master. I am including both blu-ray releases here, as "allegedly" the original Media Blasters blu-ray is sourced directly from the digital master file while the Well Go 4K restoration, despite being taken from film masters, is still derived from the digital SD master done during post-production. No HD print of "Ichi the Killer" (as of this writing) features a restoration from the original unaltered 16mm film masters, as the film was later digitally edited to include digital special effects before being printed onto film.

Wasn't Ichi the Killer sourced from a HD master, a crappy one, but HD nonetheless.

Ichi the Killer is a 2001 Japanese crime horror film. Adapted from the manga series of the same name and directed for the screen by Takashi Miike, it was shot originally on 16mm, telecined in HD video for post production, before filmed out on 35mm inter-negative for the making of release prints.

Surprisingly, the production was actually captured on video(!) before being transferred to film for its theatrical release (there's very little information about this decision, which is sure to confuse those new to the movie), keeping things muddy and jaggy.

Picked up by AIP for theatrical release, Record City was shot on SD video and represents one of the earliest attempts to shoot in that format and transfer it to 35mm prints for distribution. (See also everything from 200 Motels to Boardinghouse to Julia and Julia).

Derived from a brand new scan of MGM's materials, Scorpion's 1080p24 MPEG-4 AVC 1.78:1 widescreen Blu-ray looks like an upscaled analogue video master with noisy credits lettering, aliasing in fine patterns, hot colors, and an overall softness. There is a reason for this, however, since the film was shot on broadcast video cameras and transferred to 35mm film – director Dennis Steinmetz already had experience with the medium having directed episodes of LAND OF THE LOST – with a couple pick-up scenes originated on 35mm and looking like what one would expect of a professionally-lensed production. There's really no way the film could look any better.

Released in 2013, Hi-8 is an anthology throwback to the no-budget SOV horror scene of the '90s. All shot on SD video formats (VHS, Hi-8, MiniDV, etc.) from what I understand. Directors include '90s SOV horror auteurs like Tim Ritter, Todd Sheets, and Ron Bonk.

Which reminds me, some of Tim Ritter's SOV stuff is on Blu-ray from SRS Cinema. His '80s movies like Truth or Dare? A Critical Madness and Killing Spree were shot on 16mm (though often erroneously referred to as SOV), but I think most of his '90s stuff is SOV, including these on limited-edition Blu-ray (only 100 made of each!):



And some of Ron Bonk's late-'90s/early-'00s SOV horror is on limited-edition Blu-ray:



Oh, and Todd Sheets' early SOV shorts have been compiled on these two LE Blu-ray sets:



I think SRS Cinema has a few more titles that qualify, but I'd have to do some research to make sure.
