One of the greatest shows ever (Neon Genesis Evangelion) and one of the greatest films ever (The End of Evangelion).

I hope this means a blu-ray release isn't far off.

It'll definitely be fun to see who winds up releasing it on Blu-ray. Viz has been shown to have a relationship with Netflix already but Funimation has the films.

I've never seen it either, this will be a first for me. I'm hoping it lives up to the hype because one of my friends loved this series too.

Still have my original platinum collection from ADV. Hopefully this means physical is right around the corner. I mean that for EoE as well.

I really hope it gets a blu-ray release, and hopefully within a decent amount of time. I don't see how it couldn't, but at the same time so many Netflix titles (at least a lot of their originals) don't get physical releases so it makes me a bit worried. We've been waiting for so long in North America and if they mess this up I'll probably flip lol.

I've never seen Evangelion but I've got a feeling that I'm going to like it. I'd blind buy it if a Blu-ray were to come out prior to Netflix release, which I know is not going to happen, if at all. Just sayin, I'd be down for a blind buy.

In my opinion it's great, but as was mentioned before in this thread it does have some issues towards the end of the show due to budget problems, I believe. If you like shows that get pretty crazy and dark, you'll like it. It's very psychological. I'd say the art and animation is great and pretty consistent throughout, also End of Evangelion has amazing animation! But I'm sure we'll be waiting a bit for the blu-ray unfortunately. It's not a Netflix original though so I'm sure it'll happen sooner or later, but it seems like I've been waiting too long lol. Was going to buy the old DVD set but there are so many bootlegs out there to weed through now and I've been just twiddling my thumbs believing someday there'll be a blu-ray lol.

EATH instead of the later "True²" version that was created for the 1998 "Revival of Evangelion" theatrical re-release. The ending of this show completely loses the plot. Something to do with them running out of budget apparently, but its a cool show and I will definitely rewatch. Great soundtrack too.

All I'm hpoing for is that they don't screw up the translation for "The End Of Evangelion" like Manga Entertainment.

I watched this when the Rebuild movies started... it was fine but I enjoyed the movies more. Maybe that'll actually be finished one day lol If it's just the old series with a new dub, I don't think I'll bother watching it again. If it had been a new series I'd have watched that.

The show never loses its plotting, the film carries out the bat shit crazy religious philosophizing and its glorious.
