Metrograph Pictures (via Kino distribution) will be releasing Millenium Mambo (2001) from Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao-Hsien.

So frustrating that this isn't getting a UHD release in the US, while the French one doesn't have English subs. Can only hope a UK label decides to release it on UHD. (Will still probably get this though unless such a thing is announced soon, as I like the film too much and it should still be an upgrade from DVD.)

The more Hou on Blu, the better. I've seen only three of his films.

I asked about Goodbye Dragon Inn once in the Kino thread, as Metrograph had tweeted that a physical release would be coming out, but I never got a response. Metrograph Pictures has a few other films I'd like too, including some of Eric Rohmer's titles like The Aviator's Wife.

It looks like this has completely disappeared from Barnes and Nobles and no longer sold new from Amazon.com (third party sellers but that's it)...I wonder what the heck happened.

I preordered a copy from B&N, and my copy shipped at the end of last week. It's currently scheduled to be delivered on Friday. Hopefully it hasn't been recalled due to a QC issue.
