Default Need help with my Samsung HDR

Hello.
I hope someone can give me some advice.
I have the Samsung UE50RU7099 and the picture quality is really great for a more cheap 4K TV.
But I have a problem with UHD content.
I was watching a little bit of Stranger Things on Netflix and the picture was very, very dark when it wasn't supposed to be.

Now I have read that this is apparently a problem with Samsung TVs, or at least, some of them.
But maybe someone has the same TV or can give me some advice how can I set the picture to get the best out of it?
Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Does your tv have different picture settings depending on the source. Such as 4k discs from a blu-ray player may have one setting, but your tv apps may have another setting.

Yes. It really comes down to the Gamma.
On TV and Blu-Ray (I don't have a UHD Player yet) I have 2.2, while everything 4k/HDR is st.2084.
And this seemingly darkens the picture significantly.

I have a Samsung TV and there are different picture modes like standard, movie, natural. Natural makes things look very dark. Did you check the overall picture setting and try switching between different modes?

Do you also have problems with a darker picture?

When I compare a Blu-Ray movie to its UHD counterpart, the difference in brightness is rather extreme.
I use Movie mode and I now changed background lighting and contrast to 100% each, and it made a bit of a difference.

I think the TV was a big mispurchase. Really sucks.
HDR is so bad, I don't even have to watch it.
