This movie was average to me. It seemed to be lacking something though, not sure what.

I was expecting bad reviews based on when it was released. If it were an Oscar caliber movie, which you might think based on the premise, cast, and the overall look of it, then it would have been released in the Fall. That right there told me it likely wouldn't be great.

Saw this in theaters. About a 2.5/5 for me. Although I'll admit I'm not a Blanchett fan

I yet to be blown away by anything George Clooney has directed. He does better as an actor IMO.

I believe all Sony Pictures films are released in both U.S.A. and Canada on the same date, so yes.

Finally saw this. It was cute, it was sweet, catchy music and all around nice period film, but anyone willing to die for art, as if recreating a work of art is impossible, is insane.

If I listened to reviews I would have passed on alot of great movies, looks good to me and I'll likely get it day one

Even though this didn't great the best reviews, I have a feeling that I'll like it. I'll probably rent it and then buy it later on down the line after some price drops if I enjoy it, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

not a good movie but not awful.
Sad that Clooney didnt do a Commentary for this one.
Pass since the features are lame

Agreed. This is one of those you'll like it right out of the gate or just be bored with in within minutes. The cast did a fine job and if you like History or the various events that took place w/in the backdrop of World War II, then I recommend this at least as a rental first. Fans of the cast may just buy outright if you can justify the purchase at like $10 bucks.

Amazing cast, interesting story....but a terrible movie. Even Clooney must have realized it wasn't that great when he took it out of awards contention by delaying the opening until after the awards season.

Skip it and instead go watch Rape of Europa. It is much better.

Would love to see this get a digibook with, perhaps, some file pictures and facts about the actual historical events. I love that kind of stuff. That would be a 100% purchase, for me, right now I'm 50/50.
