Yeah, I'm not sure who exactly was asking for this. Seems like someone wasn't told that the J-Horror remake wave peaked (and died) about 10 years ago. Weird.

I liked the last series, clearly the first one being the best, but I also adore Gellar.

First I saw this trailer was seeing Black Christmas this week. The trailer even uses the same gimmicks the remake did....'Harold' in the shower to end with a hand coming out of his hair, they did the same with Gellar in the remake.

I will say the poster in the lobby at my theater was pretty sweet. Just a basic poster, but it had actual black hair covering the picture. Unsure if the poster is made that way or my theater just bought a black wig for kicks.

It can't be any worse than the latest Black Christmas remake. They'd have to TRY to suck as hard as that film did.

I saw it last night and it's not remotely good but you're spot on....it's certainly not worse than the truly awful Black Christmas remake. It's actually way better, and still manages to be a turd.

Black Christmas was the worst movie of 2019 for me (at least of the movies I saw in the theater)

Horror remake #TheGrudge made $1.8M from its THU night pre-show debut. Reviews are poor and WOM is shaky. Opening wknd #boxoffice might struggle to get to the $11M neighborhood, landing in the Top 5.

I'm kinda surprised it's doing that "well" considering it's a reboot of a remake with zero buzz whatsoever.

Not a bad Thursday at 1.8 mil. But the 1/2 star on PostTrak means it has potential for a very low Cinemascore like a D or F.

Does it have to be worse than the Child's Play remake to deserve the hate though? If that Child's Play movie was twice as good as what it was, it would of still been pretty darned terrible.
