where the hell is the bluray (60th Anniversary ???). With this camera work (filmed in Todd-AO) it would Looks great restored on blu.

Common Warner Brothers / United Artists.

This film is streaming right now on Criterion Channel:

It doesn't look like a new print. It still looks like the same HD print that was made for the DVD (and subsequent digital releases) but it does make me wonder if Criterion have gained the rights to distribute this film now, which would lead to eventual release on Blu-Ray.

It still baffles me why this film has remained unreleased on Blu-Ray from the likes of Warner Archive or Criterion.

It should be a slam-dunk release! It's a beautiful 70mm film that won multiple Academy Awards, but apparently the issue is problems with the original negatives that would make a proper restoration a very costly affair, but hey, it does look very good overall streaming on the Criterion channel right now.
